Gather your seeds and join us for the First Annual LTPL Seed Swap! Bring your seeds to trade or share and get to know your local gardening neighbors! Table space will be available on a first come, first serve basis and space is limited. If you don’t have enough seeds to require table space, you are welcome to attend as a “roving swapper.” Setup for those requiring a table will begin at 5:30 pm.
Michigan author and seed-saver Bevin Cohen will be present to share seed-saving wisdom and stories.
Seeds should ideally be packaged and clearly labeled with the name, variety, color, height, and any other helpful information. If your seeds are displayed in jars, please bring scoops and packets to facilitate trading and sharing. Please make sure all seeds have been removed from their pods, stalks, etc and are clean from chaff. The library will supply a limited number of envelopes for those in need of them.
Fall tubers, corms, bulbils, and roots may also be traded or shared as space allows.
The above information plus any further instructions will be emailed to all registrants a few days before the swap.
This is the fifth session in the five-part LTPL Seed School series.
