The Lyon Township Public Library is a fine free library!
Customers are asked to make reasonable efforts to return items in a timely fashion. If you borrow material that is owned by LTPL (books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and other materials), it will not accrue fines if it is returned after the due date. However, items owned by other libraries in our cooperative (The Library Network) may accrue fines if not returned by the due date.
Items that are eligible for renewal will automatically renew, only if there are no holds on the item by another patron.
If an item is 2 weeks overdue, the library will send you a notice via email or regular mail. Items that are more than 21 days past due will be considered lost and charged to the patron. After 35 days, accounts with overdue items that have a total amount of $25.00 or more will be referred to a collection agency. Patrons sent to collections will be blocked from using their card until all fines and fees are paid in full.
Patrons with fees of $15.00 or more will be blocked from further checkouts. Patrons with 25 or more overdue items will be blocked from further checkouts. Patrons with 25 or more overdue items will be blocked from further checkouts. Patrons are limited to 25 items on hold. The limit on checkouts is 100 per library card.
Failure to follow Mobile Hotspot return policy may result in suspension of hotspot borrowing privilege for 6 months.
If you have a problem with any of the Library materials, please let a staff member know when you return the item.
